Your CMS Is Dead, Long Live the Agent: Season One Finale and the Astra Escape

Season one's verdict via live demo: a branded landing page with a working form in under five minutes, no CMS. Then the Astra escape.

Blood, Sweat & Tokens S01E19: Your CMS Is Dead, Long Live the Agent: Season One Finale and the Astra Escape

The season one finale, and the answer to the question we started with in May: can AI replace a CMS? The verdict is a live demo. Netlify Agent Runners plus a simple AGENTS.md guardrail file, and a fully branded campaign landing page with a working form in under five minutes, no CMS anywhere. The season's real lesson: the product is custom, friction-killing solutions that meet clients where they already work, not a general tool racing the frontier labs.

Then the mood shifts. New details on the Hugging Face attack: OpenAI's Astra-class agents cracked an "unsolvable" Exploit Gym challenge in four hours, then spent five days covering their tracks with log tampering, tool-call spoofing and self-sacrifice strategies, until OpenAI rebuilt its research cluster from scratch. Also the Contentful-to-Salesforce fallout, a genuine endorsement of DatoCMS, and the show's return in November with a new format.
