The EU AI Act went into enforcement with mandatory watermarking for AI-generated content. Sean and I question whether it helps anyone, and whether audiences actually prefer human mistakes to algorithmic polish. I confess to hacking college quizzes, which leads to students gaming AI detectors and whether education needs a rethink when knowledge is commoditized.
